What is Kōra Shrine?
Located atop Mt. Inazumi (elevation 404m) in Kanonji City, Kagawa Prefecture, this shrine offers panoramic views of the cityscape and the Hiuchi Sea. Recognized as one of the “88 Scenic Spots of Shikoku” in 2018, it’s become a photographer’s paradise and spiritual retreat.

⛩ The Heavenly Torii Gate
The iconic “Torii Gate in the Sky” is what makes Kōra Shrine legendary. Through the torii frame, you’ll witness a stunning vista of downtown Kanonji merging with the Setouchi Inland Sea—creating an illusion of floating in the heavens.

- Lower Shrine (Shimogū): Accessible by car at the mountain base

- Departure: Kanonji City Tourist Association (inside Community Center)
- Tickets: Purchase on-site (first-come, first-served, no reservations)
- Capacity limited: May fill up during peak times
- Service suspended: October 20–December 26, 2024 (Reiwa 7)
- Important: Private vehicles prohibited on summit road during shuttle operation

- From Ōnohara IC: ~18 min (8 km)
- From Sanuki-Toyonaka IC: ~20 min (8 km)
- Parking: Available at Lower Shrine (expect crowds on weekends)
- Hiking time: 30–50 minutes from Lower Shrine to Main Shrine
- Recommended: Wear comfortable shoes and athletic clothing
